Amos E. Oneroad, a distinguished member of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate, dedicated his life to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Dakota people through storytelling and scholarship. Born and raised on the Lake Traverse Reservation in South Dakota, Oneroad drew from his deep-rooted connection to traditional practices, oral histories, and spiritual beliefs to bridge the gap between past and present.
