About the Author

Beth M. Caruso is a passionate historian and author whose work illuminates the forgotten corners of American colonial history, particularly the harrowing tales of injustice and resilience among early settlers. With a keen eye for historical detail and a commitment to uncovering suppressed narratives, she brings to life the stories of women marginalized by society. Her debut novel, One of Windsor: The Untold Story of America's First Witch Hanging (Connecticut Witch Trials Trilogy), meticulously recreates the events surrounding Alse Young, the first woman executed for witchcraft in the American colonies in 1647, blending rigorous research with evocative storytelling to challenge long-held misconceptions about the witch trials. Caruso's writing not only educates but also humanizes the past, inviting readers to reflect on themes of power, prejudice, and perseverance that echo into the present day.
