About the Author
Boris Strugatsky, renowned Russian science fiction writer and co-author with his brother Arkady, crafted imaginative worlds that blended speculative fiction with profound philosophical inquiries into human nature and society. Born in 1933 in Leningrad, he pursued a career in astronomy before turning to literature, where his collaborations with Arkady produced enduring classics of Soviet-era sci-fi. After Arkady's death in 1991, Boris continued writing solo, exploring themes of dystopia, ethics, and the absurdities of bureaucracy. His works, often laced with satire and existential depth, have influenced generations of readers and filmmakers worldwide, cementing his legacy as a master of intellectual adventure.
