Genesis Breyer P-Orridge

About the Author

Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, the visionary artist and provocateur who blurred the boundaries between music, performance, and mysticism, was a pioneering force in the countercultural underground. Born in 1948 in England, P-Orridge co-founded the industrial band Throbbing Gristle and later Psychic TV, while spearheading the Temple ov Psychick Youth, a radical collective exploring sigil magic, chaos theory, and altered consciousness. Through a life dedicated to 'pandrogeny'—the fusion of genders and identities—P-Orridge challenged societal norms, creating a legacy of subversive art that influenced punk, occultism, and postmodern thought. Their writings, infused with esoteric wisdom and anarchic spirit, continue to inspire seekers of the forbidden and the transcendent.
