Gyatrul Rinpoche

About the Author

Gyatrul Rinpoche, a revered Tibetan Buddhist master and lineage holder in the Nyingma tradition, was born in 1924 in eastern Tibet and trained under some of the greatest lamas of his time, including his root guru, Dudjom Rinpoche. Exiled following the Chinese invasion, he established numerous dharma centers in the West, including the Pema Osel Ling retreat center in California, where he continues to teach the profound teachings of Tibetan Buddhism. Renowned for his clarity and compassion, Gyatrul Rinpoche has dedicated his life to preserving and transmitting the ancient wisdom of the Dzogchen tradition, guiding countless students toward enlightenment through meditation and study. His works, such as Natural Liberation: Padmasambhava's Teachings on the Six Bardos, offer profound insights into the intermediate states of life, death, and rebirth, making esoteric teachings accessible to modern practitioners.
