Lama Thubten Zopa Rinpoche is a revered Tibetan Buddhist master and the spiritual director of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), an international network dedicated to spreading the teachings of the Buddha. Born in 1946 in Nepal to a family of nomads, he was recognized as the reincarnation of a 19th-century Tibetan lama and began his monastic training at the age of two.
