Lama Yeshe, a revered Tibetan Buddhist monk and teacher, was born in 1935 in Tibet and dedicated his life to spreading the profound wisdom of Buddhism in the West. Fleeing the Chinese invasion in 1959, he co-founded Kopan Monastery in Nepal and the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), establishing a global network of centers that continue to offer teachings on meditation and compassion. With a gentle yet incisive approach, Lama Yeshe guided countless students toward inner peace and enlightenment, emphasizing the transformation of the mind over external rituals.
