About the Author
Markus Miessen is an architect, writer, and educator whose work explores the intersections of spatial practice, political theory, and participatory design. He is known for his critical investigations into how architecture and urbanism can serve as platforms for civic engagement and alternative forms of governance. Through his research and writing, Miessen challenges conventional notions of authorship and expertise, advocating instead for inclusive, cross-disciplinary approaches to the built environment. His projects often examine the role of conflict, negotiation, and collaboration in shaping contemporary public space.
